Trevon Diggs, Pro Bowl cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys, has seemingly resolved his differences with WFAA reporter Mike Leslie, even going so far as to offer an apology through a gift of “Deez Nuts” branded snacks.
For those who might have missed it, tensions flared between Diggs and Leslie after last Sunday’s 30-24 defeat against the 49ers. Following the game’s conclusion, Leslie had criticized Diggs for his performance on a play where George Kittle made a significant catch-and-run.

Diggs visibly expressed his frustration with Leslie’s remarks during their postgame interaction.
Cowboys DB Trevon Diggs confronted a reporter for a tweet he put out about Diggs play:
Diggs: “You don’t know football..You can’t do nothing that I do.”
Reporter: We could talk about it more.
Diggs: “TALK ABOUT DEEZ NUTS.”

As for the play in question, Diggs wasn’t merely jogging; he was ready for Kittle to potentially make a cutback.
There were 2 defenders closer to Kittle than Diggs, one who had his hands on him already. Obviously, you have an ax to grind if you’re not calling them out and only calling out Diggs who kept his angle incase the other two missed, which they did. https://t.co/e2Hv6LyZGG pic.twitter.com/VlwU4YAQA8

Leslie has since acknowledged the possibility that he may not have assessed the situation correctly.
He stated, “What I interpreted as him jogging was in fact him slow-playing a potential cutback from George Kittle.”
On Wednesday, the two reconvened and exchanged apologies, with the 26-year-old NFL star presenting Leslie with the humorous snack gift, both appearing in good spirits.
The gift was a lighthearted acknowledgment of Diggs’ outburst from Sunday night when he had remarked, “You don’t know football, you can’t do nothing that I do… Talk about deez nuts!”
