A highly anticipated matchup this week features the Colorado Buffaloes squaring off against the Texas Tech Red Raiders in a significant Big 12 rivalry clash.

Media Expert Gives High Marks to Colorado
The Buffaloes entered this season eager to grab the attention of the college football community, and they have certainly succeeded. With three victories in their last four contests, all against FBS opponents, Colorado has secured its inaugural AP Top 25 ranking during the Coach Prime era, now positioned at 21st nationally. Consequently, ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum has lauded Colorado, describing their season as one of the “greatest turnarounds” in the game’s history.
“I believe Colorado has come around, though,” Finebaum stated.
“I mean, they have so many outstanding players. And really, whatever happens this season, it has been one of the remarkable turnarounds of all time, especially if they can find a way to get to the championship game in the Big 12.”
Despite the impressive performance of Colorado this season, Finebaum cautions that their upcoming game against the Red Raiders on the road poses potential risks.
“This is a dangerous game,” Finebaum noted. “Remember, last week, this (Texas) Tech team beat Iowa State. And playing at Lubbock is a challenge.”
The Buffaloes’ resurgence has been striking as they seem on track for a bowl appearance this season. Still, questions linger about whether this turnaround could be sustained in the long term.
Stars like Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders are both seen as frontrunners for the Heisman Trophy. As both players are projected to enter the draft this spring, some speculate whether Sanders might be tempted to switch to a more prominent program (*cough* Florida State) if the chance arises.
