Struggling with a foot race mishap, comedian Kevin Hart now finds himself in a wheelchair due to an injury suffered in a heated sprint against former NFL standout Stevan Ridley.
Aged 44, Hart recently disclosed that he tore his lower abdomen and hip abductors while facing Ridley, who is a decade younger, in a 40-yard contest. Even without the setback, Hart’s chances of triumphing were slim.
With good humor, Ridley amusingly shifted blame to Tom Brady, the retired seven-time winner of the Super Bowl, for Hart’s predicament.
Brady, who wrapped up his illustrious 23-year NFL journey in February at the age of 45, is renowned for surpassing expectations. Not many athletes can maintain a high performance level at that stage in their career, making Brady’s retirement a momentous occasion in football lore.
The outlook for Hart’s recuperation and the length of time he will rely on a wheelchair are uncertain. If he were an NFL athlete, it is probable he would be sidelined until December.
Ridley, a former part of the New England Patriots’ Super Bowl title-winning squad in the 2014-15 campaign, encountered multiple injuries, notably an ACL rupture that kept him out of the playoffs.
Over his NFL tenure, Ridley appeared in a total of 73 matchups, rushing the ball 743 instances for 3,102 yards and recording 24 touchdowns. Following his college tenure at LSU, he played for multiple franchises such as the New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos, Minnesota Vikings, and Pittsburgh Steelers.
