FOX Sports executives have possibly found the ideal successor for Shannon Sharpe on FS1’s program “Undisputed”.
A recent report by Andrew Marchand from the New York Post reveals that Richard Sherman, a former NFL All-Pro cornerback and Super Bowl 48 champion, will be taking over Sharpe’s spot on “Undisputed” where he will collaborate with Skip Bayless:
“The Post has learned that Richard Sherman is set to join FS1 to engage in debates with Skip Bayless on “Undisputed” following Shannon Sharpe’s exit from the show.
Sherman is expected to face off against Bayless in approximately 50-100 episodes per year, particularly during the football season.”
Marchand also mentioned that Sherman will maintain his role as an analyst on Amazon Prime’s “Thursday Night Football” broadcast. While the contract has not been officially signed yet, Sherman and FS1 officials have reached an agreement.
In 2013, Sherman famously confronted Bayless on ESPN’s “First Take” during a guest appearance. Sherman boldly stated to Bayless, “You have no achievements,” and “I surpass you.”
Ten years have passed since then, and according to Marchand, the two had a positive conversation last month at The Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel. Presumably, any past animosity is now resolved.
Recognized as one of the top defensive players of his time, Sherman earned five Pro Bowl selections and three First-team All-Pro honors. He concluded his career with 37 interceptions and 116 pass defenses.
