Entering the season with high expectations, both the Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals have not met those ambitions to date. Nonetheless, both teams can still mathematically secure a playoff spot depending on the outcomes in the coming weeks, which has intensified the importance of their Week 14 matchup on Monday Night Football.
Micah Parsons Exits Field in Frustration After Loss to Bengals
The Cowboys had an opportunity to inject critical momentum into their playoff aspirations. A victory would have elevated their record to 6-7, but they fell short.
The loss was mired in controversy. With just over a minute remaining in the fourth quarter, the Cowboys were prepared to receive the kickoff. However, the kick was blocked and subsequently recovered by the Bengals after being touched by a Cowboys player. Joe Burrow then led the team down the field, culminating in a game-winning touchdown pass to Ja’Marr Chase.
In light of yet another disappointing defeat this season that could have undermined their playoff aspirations, Cowboys’ standout pass rusher Micah Parsons left the field in frustration before the contest had concluded.

Bengals Kicker’s Girlfriend Cheering for Cowboys
This season appears to follow a familiar pattern for the Dallas Cowboys: high aspirations that yield disappointing results. Entering the season with hopes of ending a 20-year Super Bowl drought, the Cowboys currently find themselves fighting to stay in the playoff conversation, ranking third in the NFC East with a 5-7 record.
To complicate matters further, there’s an unexpected connection. Bengals kicker Cade York recently shared that his girlfriend is a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.
“My girlfriend is actually a cheerleader for the [Dallas] Cowboys,” York stated.
“She got baptized this Sunday, so it was awesome getting to do that and all of her teammates got to come watch. And then literally, the next day, I get a call that I’m going to work out for the Bengals, and they’re playing on Monday. I was like, ‘Well, Zoe, I will see you at home no matter what.’ So, yeah, it’s pretty cool. She’s gonna be cheering for me… But yes, we’ll both be there. She’s already told me the second quarter and the fourth quarter is when she’s on the visitor’s side. So I’ll have to sneak her a couple of smiles.”
