We are all aware at this point that actor Matthew McConaughey hails from Texas, and it’s obvious that he has a deep affection for his Longhorns. Just how deep? Well, enough to dedicate his Saturday afternoon to teasing supporters of the Michigan Wolverines.
This was clear on both television and social media, as McConaughey was seen in Ann Arbor, enjoying himself while the Longhorns surged to a 24-3 halftime lead, thanks to the prowess of quarterback Quinn Ewers.

Certainly, McConaughey was soon greeted at the 50-yard line by former Michigan star and past Heisman Trophy winner Charles Woodson, who waved a flag in support of the home team. The two then engaged in a lighthearted exchange of banter.

Before all the excitement, McConaughey participated in the FOX pregame show while onboard a private jet. His Longhorns entered the contest positioned at No. 3 nationwide. Meanwhile, the Wolverines, the defending national champions, were seated at No. 10.

Once the contest commenced, McConaughey donned a tan leather jacket, denim jeans, and a brown cowboy hat. It was unmistakably Texas, as the actor frequently takes pride in showcasing. He also exchanged a bit of friendly banter on the sidelines — we presume — with former MLB star and current Michigan enthusiast Derek Jeter.
