The Minnesota Vikings are squaring off against the Chicago Bears in a highly anticipated Monday night game, coinciding with a poignant moment as legendary player Randy Moss revealed his battle with cancer.
Following the first touchdown of the match, Justin Jefferson approached the camera in the end zone and stated: “We love you Randy, that’s for you.”

At the age of 47, Moss recently announced his departure from ESPN, citing a “personal health challenge” as the reason for this decision.
Just days ago, Moss spoke about his health issues during an Instagram livestream, revealing that he underwent a lengthy six-hour surgery to remove “a cancerous mass from his bile duct,” which is situated between the liver and pancreas.
“Your boy is a cancer survivor… Some trying times of course. But you know, we made it through and for that — I thank you all.”

The Hall of Famer added, “All the prayers, the well wishes, I really felt that. My family felt that.”
Prior to the kickoff of the Monday Night Football game, former teammates Jake Reed and Cris Carter paid tribute to Moss during the coin toss, as the crowd at U.S. Bank Stadium chanted, “Randy, Randy, Randy…”

In the wake of Moss’s announcement, the Vikings organization has shared their heartfelt support.
“On behalf of the entire Minnesota Vikings organization, I want to send him our well wishes and support,” said head coach Kevin O’Connell. “We love Randy and know our fanbase feels the same way.”
Notably, Jefferson has followed a similar path to Moss, with a career that is shaping up to be one of the best ever for a receiver. At only 25 years of age, Jefferson has recorded 7,069 yards on 467 catches, along with 38 touchdowns in his first five seasons.
He has shattered multiple records, including becoming the youngest player to reach 7,000 yards in NFL history.
Overall, Jefferson still has some ground to cover…
During Moss’s illustrious 14-year career, he amassed 15,292 yards (4th all-time) and notched 156 receiving touchdowns (2nd all-time), securing his legacy on the NFL’s elite pass-catchers list.
