ESPN’s popular program College Gameday was the main attraction in State College, PA, ahead of the highly-anticipated Big Ten rivalry matchup featuring the Ohio State Buckeyes and Penn State Nittany Lions. Jason Kelce, the former Philadelphia Eagles player who has become a regular presence at the network since his retirement, was present at the event; however, the real drama unfolded after the broadcast concluded.
Jason Kelce Involved in Confrontation with Taylor Swift Critic
After the show ended, Jason was mingling among the crowd when a heckler approached him and hurled an anti-LGBT slur aimed at the former Eagles center regarding his brother’s relationship with Taylor Swift.
“Hey Kelce, how does it feel to know that your brother is a f****t for dating Taylor Swift?” the heckler shouted. In response, Jason confronted the heckler, seized his phone, and smashed it on the pavement, reducing it to pieces.

Following the incident, the heckler persisted in provoking Kelce and confronted him over the ruined phone. The two faced off again, with Kelce asking, “Who’s the f****t now?”
Looks like the guy chased Jason all the way down to the stadium to get his smashed phone back and Jason was ready to go.

“People think they can just say anything they want without facing the consequences,” remarked one fan on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“If he ends up sued, I will gladly contribute to the Go Fund Me. Jason Kelce is a real Philadelphian,” added another supporter.
ESPN Host Shares Thoughts on Taylor Swift’s Fame
Travis, Jason’s brother, started dating music star Taylor Swift at the beginning of the 2023 season. As a result, Swift became a prominent figure at Kansas City Chiefs games during the ensuing season leading up to the Super Bowl. Jason, who also attended those games, after his Philadelphia Eagles were eliminated, commented that he gained a real insight into what Swift faces on a daily basis.
“I think I finally got a grasp on some of the challenges she has to navigate on a frequent basis,” Jason stated.
“There were so many celebrities in attendance. Everybody wants to come see her. The suite’s only so spacious. It was incredibly overwhelming, to be honest. I went out of the suite to engage with Keegan-Michael Key, his wife, and a lot of other guests. The level of celebrity presence at the game was unreal.
