In the Week 5 edition of Sunday Night Football, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys were the main attraction. Both teams entered the game with something to prove. Following a surprising victory by the New York Giants over the Seahawks, the Cowboys faced pressure to stay competitive in the NFC East. Meanwhile, the Steelers aimed to bounce back after suffering their first loss of the season.
Fans Criticize Cris Collinsworth’s Analysis During Sunday Night Football
However, it was NBC analyst Cris Collinsworth who garnered significant attention during the broadcast. Viewers took to social media to express their frustration with his commentary throughout the game.
“I cannot stand Cris Collinsworth, ugh,” a user remarked on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
“(Delayed) Weekly reminder that Cris Collinsworth f******g sucks,” another commenter added.

Cowboys Coach Calls Out Steelers’ Justin Fields
In recent seasons, the Steelers have become a team that may not look impressive on paper but often surprises once they take the field. This year has been no exception.
Justin Fields was not initially expected to be the Steelers’ starting quarterback heading into training camp. However, an injury to Russell Wilson thrust him into the starting position, which has turned out to be a fortunate development. The former Chicago Bear has helped position them solidly atop the NFC North.
Fields’ resurgence has emerged as one of the more compelling narratives of the NFL season so far. Yet, not everyone is impressed with his comeback. Earlier this year, Cowboys’ defensive coordinator and former Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer remarked that Fields “hasn’t done anything,” to date in his career. This comment came in reaction to the Vikings’ general manager.
Zimmer’s remarks are quite ironic, considering the fact that the Cowboys’ defense has had its struggles this season as well. They have allowed opponents to score 28 or more points in three of their first four games.
It remains to be seen how Fields will perform in this highly anticipated matchup against Dallas.
