After some time, Aaron Rodgers has ultimately secured a victory as the quarterback for the New York Jets. This triumph occurred thanks to Sunday’s exhilarating 24-17 win against the Tennessee Titans.
For the record, this marks Rodgers’ first victory in 623 days. To be fair, he played only one snap last season due to a torn Achilles sustained in Game 1. This also prevented him from experiencing the first 0-2 start of his NFL career.
“It was fantastic,” Rodgers, aged 40, informed reporters. “It has been a long wait. These are the types of matches you reflect on later in the season and appreciate winning these because if we aspire to be a great team, we need to triumph in such situations against a team like that.”
“Rodgers last won on Jan. 1, 2023, in his second-to-last game with the Green Bay Packers. Technically, he was acknowledged with a victory in the Jets’ 2023 opener, despite having played only four snaps before his left Achilles was torn. This marks his first complete match win with the Jets (1-1).
“The four-time MVP was at his peak during critical moments, orchestrating a seven-play, 74-yard drive that culminated in rookie running back Braelon Allen’s second touchdown, a 20-yard run with 4:31 remaining in the game, bringing the score to 24-17. Rodgers completed 5 of 5 passes for 60 yards on that drive, which included 26- and 19-yard completions to Garrett Wilson and Mike Williams, respectively.”
But in any case, a victory is a victory is a victory. And now Rodgers can officially claim his first as a member of the Jets.
